Arvid De Kleijn wins stage 6 in Rembau as Delbove leads GC

Arvid De Kleijn won stage 6 of Petronas Le Tour de Langkawi 2026, taking the 121.3-kilometre hilly stage from Pandan Indah to Rembau for TUD. Erlend Blikra finished second, Manuel Peñalver third, and the top ten were all credited on the same time.

How the stage was decided

The profile was listed as hilly, but with no summit finish and no gaps among the first ten riders, the terrain did not translate into a visible time split at the front of the result. That matters because this type of stage can either become a GC stress point or be controlled tightly enough that the finish absorbs the climbing damage.

Here, the result points to the second version. De Kleijn reached Rembau in 2h 32' 55', with Blikra, Peñalver, Mohamad Izzat Hilmi Abdul Halil, Alexander Kristoff, Filippo Fortin, Aaron Gate, Lorrenzo Manzin, Enrico Zanoncello, and Patrick Eddy all recorded at + 0'. On the available data, the closing kilometres were therefore decisive for the stage win, not for separation among the front finishers.

GC impact

Joris Delbove is listed as the GC leader after stage 6. Since the top ten on the stage all finished on the same time and no broader GC time gaps are provided, there is no supplied evidence of a major general classification reshuffle from this stage.

That makes the main takeaway straightforward: De Kleijn gets the stage, while the GC picture, based on the provided data, continues with Delbove at the top after a hilly day that did not create visible splits among the leading stage finishers.
