Import your Strava archive
Bring your whole Strava history into NeverChill in one go by uploading the archive Strava emails you.
Updated 2026-10-15
What this is for
Moving from Strava? Strava lets you download your whole account as a zip file. Upload that zip to NeverChill and your activities, photos, captions and gear come across.
Before you start
- You need to be signed in to Strava in a browser to request the archive.
- Strava emails you a download link. It can take a few hours, sometimes a day.
- Big archives are fine. NeverChill uploads them in chunks.
- We never ask for your Strava password.
Step 1: Ask Strava for your archive
- On the web, open Import activities (from the More menu, choose Import activity). In the app, open Home, tap REC, then tap Import & connect.
- Find Coming from Strava? and choose Open Strava archive page.
- On Strava's page, click Request download. Strava emails you a zip of your whole history.

Step 2: Wait for the email
This can take a few hours, maybe a day. Go ride. When the email arrives, download the zip. It's named like export_12345.zip.
Step 3: Upload the zip
On the web
- Go back to Coming from Strava? on Import activities.
- Drag the zip onto Drag your export_*.zip here, or click to browse.
In the app
The NeverChill mobile app is in beta (TestFlight on iPhone, a preview build on Android).
- Open Import & connect again.
- Tap Choose your export_*.zip and pick the file.
- You'll see Uploading your archive…. When it finishes, you'll see how many activities came in.
What comes across
- Activities, photos, captions and gear.
- Each ride keeps the visibility it had on Strava.
Running it again
It's safe to import again later. NeverChill skips activities you already have and adds only new ones. Changes you made on Strava after your first import don't carry over, because existing rides aren't updated.
Troubleshooting
- Upload paused in the app. Tap Resume upload. If it stopped partway, choose the same file again to keep going.
- Something went wrong. Try uploading the archive again. Start the upload again with the same file. Rides already imported are skipped.
- Some activities were skipped. They were already in NeverChill.
- My rides say Processing… Big archives take time to process. See My activity says Processing.
Still stuck? In the app, go to Settings and tap Report a bug or idea under Help. On the web, choose Send feedback from the More menu.
