Connect Apple Health

Beta

Let the NeverChill iPhone app read your workouts, sleep and recovery data from Apple Health.

Updated 2026-10-15

What this is for

Apple Health collects workouts and health data from your iPhone, Apple Watch and other apps. Connect it and NeverChill can read your rides plus your sleep, steps, weight, resting heart rate and HRV, right next to your training.

Before you start

  • You need the NeverChill app on your iPhone. There's no web sign-in for Apple Health.
  • Apple Health is part of NeverChill Pro. See Free vs Pro.
  • NeverChill only reads from Apple Health. It never writes to it.

What NeverChill reads

  • Workouts, including heart rate, power, cadence, distance, calories and the route
  • Sleep, steps, weight, resting heart rate and HRV, if you allow them

You choose exactly which types to share on the iPhone permission screen.

Connect Apple Health

  1. Tap Me, tap the settings gear, then tap Devices & apps under Integrations.
  2. Find the Apple Health card on the Devices & apps screen and tap Connect.
  3. iOS asks which data NeverChill can read. Turn on the types you want to share and tap Allow.
  4. The card shows Connected. Tap Sync now to bring your data in straight away.

How syncing works

Apple Health data stays on your phone, so NeverChill syncs it from the app. Open the NeverChill app now and then, or tap Sync now. The card shows Last sync with the time.

If NeverChill hasn't heard from your phone for about 72 hours, Apple Health shows Sync delayed in Devices & apps. Open the app to catch up.

Troubleshooting

  • The card says Permission needed. Tap it to open the permission screen again, or change access in the iPhone Settings app under Health.
  • NeverChill isn't listed in the Health settings on my iPhone. This was fixed in a recent app build. Update the app, then tap Connect again.
  • The last sync did not finish. Try Sync now. Tap Sync now.
  • Some data is missing. Check that you allowed that data type in the iPhone Health settings.
  • The card says Unavailable. Apple Health isn't available on this device (for example, some iPads).

Still stuck? In the app, go to Settings and tap Report a bug or idea under Help. On the web, choose Send feedback from the More menu.
