Starting at 300 m elevation and finishing at 1,054 m, the climb delivers 1,192 m of total ascent over 24.6 km. The gap between total ascent and the straight elevation difference tells you something important: the road is not a clean ramp. Elevation is earned in chunks, with sections of genuine relief before the road turns savage.
The 3.07% average is heavily distorted by long stretches of easy gradient in the lower and middle portions. Treat that figure only as a rough energy-budget marker, not as a guide to what any given kilometre will feel like.
