Pogačar hints at Vuelta start and all-three Grand Tours bid
Tadej Pogačar has given his strongest indication yet that he could race the Vuelta a España, where victory would complete the set of all three Grand Tours.
Pogačar leaves the Vuelta door open
Tadej Pogačar has made his clearest signal yet that he could line up at this year’s Vuelta a España, according to road.cc, opening the possibility of a bid to become the ninth male rider to win all three Grand Tours.
That matters because this is not just another calendar note. A Pogačar Vuelta start would turn the race from a major late-season target into a potential history-making campaign, with the core question shifting from participation to whether he can convert that opportunity into the final piece of the Grand Tour set.
The story also carries a symbolic layer. Prince Albert of Monaco was a guest of honour during yesterday’s stage, and the headline frames the hint as coming with a royal blessing. The sporting substance remains the same: Pogačar has not simply been linked to the race in passing, but has now offered his strongest indication yet that the Vuelta is on the table.
